It comes in the middle of an announcement by local officials for the public to do a lockdown.

A region in eastern Russia has been warned to take emergency precautions during Kremlin military drills.

The drills seen as a chilling warning to Ukraine and the West.

The Sun reported on Thursday (2/6/2022) Officials in the Kamchatka region warned residents about the impending launch.

They appealed to the public to close fall for movements of people, including tourism.

The missile test is expected to happen between 6 and 10 June, according to the announcement.

There is a worst-case forecast that the missile test will hit the eastern and southeastern parts of Russia's Tigilsky district.

Includes the Karaginsky district and the northwestern part of the Ust-Kamchatsky district of the Kamchatka region.

"In the danger zone of the fall of the separating parts of the launch vehicle or its fragments, as well as in the event of an emergency in the field, are the eastern, southeastern part of the Tigilsky district, the southwestern part of the Karaginsky district and the northwestern part of the Ust-Kamchatsky district of the Kamchatka region." write a statement.

The missile is targeted at the Kura testing range.

The last intercontinental ballistic missile was on 20 April when Satan-2 was launched amid huge rocket flames from an underground silo at Plesetsk military cosmodrome in the north of Russia.
