TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was satisfied after his troops succeeded in destroying Ukrainian weapons.

Putin said Russian anti-aircraft forces had shot down Ukrainian weapons and "cracking them like nuts".

The Russian president broke the news in a brief excerpt from an interview broadcast on Saturday in response to statements about US-supplied weapons to Ukraine.

Putin said Russian anti-aircraft forces were able to deal with it easily and had already destroyed the weapons by the dozen.

But the interview clip to be aired on Sunday made it clear that Putin had been responding to a different question, which was not shown.
