TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - "Cornerstone" adalah sebuah lagu dari band indie rock asal Inggris, Arctic Monkeys, yang dirilis sebagai singel kedua dari album ketiga mereka yang berjudul Humbug.

Album ini dirilis pada tanggal 16 November 2009. Seperti single sebelumnya "Crying Lightning", piringan hitam ini tersedia di toko-toko Oxfam.

Alex Turner mengatakan kepada majalah Uncut bahwa ia menulis lagu ini, "pada suatu pagi, dengan cepat." Ia menambahkan: "Ada sesuatu yang bisa dikatakan untuk menulis di pagi hari.

Pada waktu-waktu lain di hari itu, Anda sedikit lebih defensif. Saya melihatnya sebagai sebuah tantangan untuk menulis sesuatu dalam kunci mayor, tetapi itu tidak murahan."

Lagu ini pada awalnya ditulis dalam kunci A mayor.

Pada bulan Oktober 2013, lagu ini diambil sampelnya oleh rapper Dom Kennedy untuk lagu "Pleeze" dalam albumnya yang berjudul Get Home Safely.
